It’s fresh and delicious and fantastic dinner or light lunch.  This salad is very easy to make and its perfect for a picnic since it can be made a few hours ahead.     Basil Orange Banana Smoothie

    I love basil, especially in smoothies and salads. Basil is one of the most versatile herbs with numerous health benefits. It is great anti-oxidant and has anti-bacterial properties  So today’s post is going to be my favorite basil smoothie. Ingredients: 1.5 cup fresh squeezed orange juice 1/2 cup of ice cubes 1 small ripe banana 4-5 basil leaves Directions: Combine all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender, and blend until completely smooth.
