Basil Orange Banana Smoothie

I love basil, especially in smoothies and salads. Basil is one of the most versatile herbs with numerous health benefits. It is great anti-oxidant and has anti-bacterial properties  So today’s post is going to be my favorite basil smoothie.

Ingredients:

1.5 cup fresh squeezed orange juice

1/2 cup of ice cubes

1 small ripe banana

4-5 basil leaves

Directions:

Combine all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender, and blend until completely smooth.

Enjoy!

Note: You can totally skip banana and blend just orange juice with basil. That version is great as a juice for hot summer days.
