I am going to start my first post with something that I drink every single morning before breakfast. It’s a good alternative to a coffee first thing in the morning.

The refreshing lemonade with so many health benefits, perfect to start your day with.

This lemonade is perfect for a little bit of everyday detox.  Water with lemon creates an alkalizing effect in the body.  It helps to maintain a higher level of pH. The higher the pH, the more your body is able to fight diseases. It cleanses the liver, blood and helps regulate natural bowel movement. Just to name a few health benefits. Turmeric is a wonderful herb that we should use every day. But how can we add turmeric in meals every day? Simply, add it to your lemonade. It is much better than taking turmeric pills. Turmeric has great anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancerous properties and is also great for boosting the immune system. Pollen is rich in protein, amino acids, vitamins, including B-complex and folic acid. Make sure to start slow with consuming bee pollen because it can cause allergic reactions, and it’s not safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Turmeric Pollen Lemonade

Ingredients:
1 lemon – juice squeezed
1 teaspoon turmeric powder, or 2 inches fresh turmeric root – juiced
1 teaspoon bee pollen
1 teaspoon honey – raw organic honey if possible
1 cup water or more – it is better to use warm water 
 
Directions:
Simply combine all of the ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon. Drink immediately. Cheers!
