My Clean Beauty Summer Skincare Routine
Hey guys! I’m so excited to talk about my summer skincare routine! 🙂 During the summer it is good to change your skincare routine. You won’t need as intensive of night creams during the winter.
As your clothes get lighter, so should your skincare.
I like to make sure I stay SPF protected and using lighter moisturizers that won’t make my face oily.
Every product I use is clean and non-toxic with no harmful ingredients. Using clean beauty products given me peace of mind that I am treating my face and body the best I can.
All of the DERMA-E products are made with NO parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, petrolatum, sulfates, mineral oils, artificial colors, and artificial fragrances.
None of the bad, just good!
Let’s get started.
STEP 1:
Anti-Wrinkle Toner with Vitamin A & Glycolic Acid
First thing in the morning I apply this toner to my skin. I put a small amount on a cotton pad and sweep gently on my face and neck. With this step I prep my skin for other products that IÂ use.
Key Ingredients:
- Vitamin A – helps to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles for a fresher, newer appearance
- Glycolic Acid – helps to reveal brighter skin
- Papaya Fruit Extract – rich in antioxidants to help exfoliate, brighten and smooth skin
STEP 2:
Sun Defense Mineral Oil-Free Sunscreen SPF 30
I don’t skip a day without sunscreen during the summertime. Sometimes life can get crazy with kids and work and you only have 5 minutes to get ready, I make sure I always put SPF. If you’re young and think that you don’t need it, believe me, signs of sun damage will show in your 30s and it will look bad.
To prevent sun damage, please use sunscreen.
I love this one because it has eco-friendly non-nano mineral sync oxide which helps to shield your face from harmful UVA/UVB rays.
Important thing is to use sunscreen 15 minutes before going to the sun.
I use this Derma-E sunscreen for my body. If I am just going out for a walk I still put sunscreen on my arms.
STEP 3:
Blue Light Shield Spray
This blue light defense mist is not only moisturizing with blue-green algae, lutein, activated charcoal and ginseng root extract but it has protective action against blue light.
Since most of us are now working from home and being constantly exposed to staring at a computer all day this spray is something that everyone should use.
I spray this on my face throughout the day to protect from all the harmful blue rays. I keep it at my desk, and spray a few times while working on computer.
STEP 4:
Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum
This is a holy grail! I use this serum every night. I usually use it alone or if I feel that my skin is really dry I add this moisturizer over it.Â
It leaves my skin hydrated and not oily and it has a fresh, light fragrance.
Activated Charcoal helps to detox and purify pores, while antioxidant-rich Lutein helps to protect skin from harmful blue light exposure to support a healthy-looking complexion.
I absolutely love the Derma-E Blue Light skin line. This is something new on the market that it seems like we all need.
Serums are in general great to use over the summer. They are hydrating, but they’re much lighter than usual winter creams.
STEP 5:
Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel
I use this facial peel 1-2 times a week to gently exfoliate my skin.Â
Vitamin C works amazing for anti-aging purposes. It stimulates collagen production so your skin will look much firmer over time.
I apply a layer to my face, neck, décolleté, and then go do some things, sometimes arm exercises, and after about 3-5 minutes I massage it off with cold water.
The glycolic and lactic acids helps to resurface and smooth skin’s texture to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Citrus helps to improve the appearance of discoloration and dark spots.Â
This peel left my face soft after every use. It does have a slight burning sensation. It says on the packaging it is supposed to be like that. It goes away very fast.Â
Also, it does not leave my face red.
I absolutely love the smell!
All of these products are available online or at your local Whole Foods or Sprouts market. Let me know if you guys are using clean skincare.
